Tiny Tutus, Dance for FUN is offered from age 3 years (must be 3yrs by 1st Jan).
This curriculum is specially designed to introduce fundamental dance movement to our young students, It assists body awareness, co-ordination and musicality. With an emphasis on FUN, children are encouraged to create responses through mime and dance.

Beginners Ballet, is offered from age 4 years (must be 4yrs by 1st Jan).
This curriculum is specially designed to introduce the first steps of Classical Ballet. Designed to help our young students gain in strength and flexibility, as well as co-ordination and musicality in a classical ballet setting. Emphasising the JOY of ballet, children are encouraged to learn the basic technique of ballet through mime and dance.
We offer Beginners Ballet classes on the following days

Junior Uniform:
Ballet Shoes with elastic (in canvas or leather)
Pink leotard with short wrap-around chiffon skirt
Please note that long hair should be fixed tidily into a bun. All uniform requirements may be purchased through CBA or an approved dancewear supplier.
Trial Class:
Prior to enrolling we welcome our pre-school students to try a class first (for free) to make sure that both the parent and child are happy with our studio environment.
R.A.D classes are currently offered from Pre-Primary level to Advanced 1
CBA follows Royal Academy of Dance Graded and Vocational Examinations.
Pre-Primary and Primary
Pre-Primary and Primary students attend one class per week.
Students at Pre-Primary and Primary level work towards a Presentation before an RAD Examiner in Term 3. This is a chance for our younger students to participate in the examination environment and ready themselves for later exams.
Grades 1- 7
Grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 attend a minimum of two classes per week to prepare for their RAD examination at the end of Term 3. Higher Grades (Grades 6 and & 7) are offered to students enrolled in a Vocational program.
Vocational students training for an examination are expected to attend at least three classes per week to assist muscle memory. It is also expected that Vocational students will further develop their training by attending at least one of the supplementary classes on offer: Body Conditioning, Allegro or Contemporary. It is also acceptable (with teacher approval) for vocational students to attend a higher or lower vocational grade class to extend their hours of training.
Vocational students prepare for their examination either in May or August and a compulsory part of training will be to attend an independent holiday seminar in either the April or July school holidays.
NZAMD Contemporary classes are offered from RAD Grade 4 and above.
Contemporary Dance is a beneficial supplement to Classical Ballet. Studios internationally now offer a myriad of contemporary techniques to further enhance a student's training. This is an opportunity for students to explore the free movement element to their dancing, as well as use it as an additional training tool for enhancing their classical ballet.
CBA trains the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD) Contemporary curriculum, and we offer students (Grade 4 and above) the opportunity to sit NZAMD Contemporary exams in October.
